WHAT EFFECTS DOES CBD COSMETICS HAVE?

Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, Alessandra Ambrossio, David Beckham or Gwyneth Paltrow speak wonders of its effects, but it has long since ceased to be a celebrity thing. The boom in cosmetics with CBD is a reality. Serums, creams, oils, scrubs, masks, shampoos, makeup... More and more brands are launching products and even complete lines with hemp as a claim. Firms such as Sephora, Montibello, Ho Karan, Babaria, Diadermine, Nyx, Garnier or The Body Shop have already launched themselves into this increasingly profitable segment. To begin with, it is important to clarify things.
We are talking about products that include hemp (or hemp, as it is also known) in their list of ingredients, one of the cannabis species that should not be confused with those from which marijuana or hashish are obtained. Both hemp and marijuana belong to the same family of plants (cannabis sativa), but while marijuana strains have a high concentration of THC (a component with psychoactive effects), in the hemp variety, the presence of THC is negligible. That is why it is completely legal, while marijuana is a restricted substance. Traditionally, hemp has been cultivated for raw materials (seeds, oil, fiber, etc.). And its medicinal uses have been known for millennia. But in recent years, one of its compounds, cannabidol (CBD) oil, has also become a very popular ingredient in the cosmetics industry due to the natural benefits it promises. Those benefits include moisturizing and nourishing properties (hemp oil is rich in fatty acids), antioxidants (due to its high content of vitamin E and phenolic acid), and soothing and anti-inflammatory effects, which make it suitable for sensitive, irritated skin. or with a tendency to acne (hemp seed oil also works as a sebum regulator).
